The Journey

After a bumpy 26hour journey from London (via Hong Kong), we arrived into a beautifully sunny 26(deg) Auckland summer’s day. Although we both felt tired and in need of a good sleep, we were in good spirits & looking forward to the trip ahead.

From Auckland we took s short 1hr flight down the west coast to the capital – Wellington where my parents were waiting for us.

Still ahead of us was a 1 ½ hr drive to my hometown of Greytown, Wairarapa via quick visit to my sister’s home to see my little nephew Jamie.

4.30pm and we finally arrived at my parents house, only 30hrs after leaving London! A good home cooked meal later and it was time to get a well deserved sleep…
