A Queens Honour
A big congradulations goes out to my Mum from the family as over the weekend she was rewarded for her 12 years of volentary St Johns Ambulance service with a Queens Honour medal. Not only has Mum given 12 years of her life to the Order of St Johns but also holds a proficeincy level of ambulance qualification which is one step below that of a paramedic.
So over the weekend we all headed up to Napier (3 hours drive away) for the presdesgious ceremony attended by the Goveror General, Dame Silvia Cartwright who awarded Mum with the ‘Serving Sister’ medal.
We are so proud of her and her deadication to such a good community service.
