London Cycle Show....
It’s that time of the year again…. leaves turn brown, schools start and more importantly bike manufacturers release the coming seasons frames and new kit! With the date firmly fixed in my calendar for the past few months the anticipation was reaching a zenith! The gala type event was,
unfortunately for us West Londoners, held this year at the Excel centre (way out east) but was nevertheless worth the visit. As that I hadn’t been for a couple of years and I was given a complimentary ticket from a friend, it was a perfect opportunity to spend Saturday morning seeing what I can’t afford!
Obviously with next years Tour de France starting from London, the annual Tour stand was one of the major stages and Eddy Merckx officially opened the show by cutting a ribbon. The brands exhibiting included Serrota, Look and Condor bikes. There were numerous folding bikes brands along with cycle holidays (Greece included!) and training camps in Spain which could have my name written all over them for the next couple of years to come…….
