The Colours of Summer…

Today Grigoria & I enjoyed the fruits (vegetables) of our friends Colin & Emma's first summer harvest from their home in Bishop Stortford.

As this past summer was their first plantation we, along with others tasted the unusual flavours (& colours) of their organically grown garden.

The criteria of their garden was vegetables not seen in supermarkets like purple cabbage & cauliflower but today it was more traditional with baked potatoes, cauliflower, parsnips and a stuffed squash.

All and all a great summer garden party evening.

Elephants in the Park...

On Saturday Grigoria and I were strolling through Hyde Park and came across this interesting looking Elephant exhibition over looking the Serpentine Lake.

The wire frame and twig covered elephant family had us very interested (along with others).
