January Sunset...

January is normally pretty dark and cold; this year is not necessarily any different except on a clear day we do get to enjoy to the low setting sunsets and the striking colours which come from them....simply beautiful!

New Years Day (London)...German Markets

The German Market in London you say....well strange as it sounds this year (December - January) they were 'parked' up in Hyde around the serpentine.



Unfortunately before the NZ trip we didn't have a chance so I promised Grigoria that we would visit it when we got back, so come 1st January we headed down there.

It had all the family attractions, ice rink, various wheel rides, scary house and then the actual markets of food, hot drinks, small bit / pieces and Grigoria's favorite sweets.

Despite the obvious temporary nature of the event, for a short time it transformed Hyde Park into something rather special and different.....what a nice start to the year.
